The maximum number of guests is 35. This includes any bands or entertainers. This is non-negotiable to keep our guests and team safe.

How much does private hire cost?

Any Saturday/Sunday Daytime £50

Off-Peak Friday/Saturday Nights £75

Peak Friday/Saturday Nights £150

Free Off-Peak Season: Monday (Anytime), Tuesday (Anytime), Wednesday (Day), Thursday (Anytime), Sunday (Night).

Peak Season: Bank Holidays, Half Term Holidays, Easter Holidays, York Race Meetings, Christmas, New Years, etc.

All dates during Christmas party season (November/December) have an additional £50 hire fee added to the standard fee, for example a Saturday Night in December is £200.

Music

You can connect your phone to our speakers via Bluetooth and have full control of the music. If you have Spotify, we can follow your playlist and play it through our phone if you prefer (a great option if you don’t have Spotify Premium without ads).

We don’t host karaoke due to noise complaints, apologies! Roxy Ballroom across the street offer a great karaoke facility though.

food

All kinds of celebration cakes and confectionary welcome. We can provide a cake knife and napkins, though we recommend bringing your own cake stand if it needs one.

Our Charcuterie, Cheese Board and Nibbles options are available to preorder to enjoy buffet-style.

If you would like to bring in your own catering we are happy to talk through your options. We do not have any hot-holding equipment or cold storage space. Anything brought in must have clear traceable allergen information and be cooked/prepared/held within legally foodsafe limits. Once food is set up in our venue we will only leave it out for the length of time designated safe by our HACCP Food Safety Plan.

We offer free/low cost hire with the hope that you will buy your food with us. There is therefore a £50 fee for bringing in your own catering, this covers our lost food sales and the additional clearing up.

minimum Numbers

We offer a very low hire charge, often free for off-peak dates with the understanding that there will be guests spending at the bar. Parties less than 20 guests may still book the venue, though there will be a fee to cover the cost of sales lost by not opening to the public.

Kids

No under 18’s past 6pm. This includes babies. No exceptions. Sunday’s 12pm-6pm are great for Baby Showers or Birthdays with a few younger guests.

Parking

We sadly don’t have any on-site parking. There is a multi-storey car park around the corner. We have a small store room if you would like to leave gifts, decorations, cake, etc to collect next day.

Drink

Our full drinks menu is available as standard, including cocktails. Contact us if you would like any special request spirits. We stop serving alcohol at 11.30pm, and must have everyone off the premises before midnight.
